Since 1973 Volunteer Jacksonville has been serving our community.

Picture an hourglass lying on its side, with thousands of grains of salt on one side and thousands of beads on the other. One side of the hourglass represents the needs of the Jacksonville community. The other side represents those responding to those needs. The thin portion between represents Volunteer Jacksonville, the bonding force through which comes change, diversity and an opportunity for the two sides to connect.

This is how Doug Milne, a past president of Volunteer Jacksonville, sees the agency which is celebrating its 26th Anniversary this year.
